VFW Post 7186 derives income from membership dues, event ticket sales, Buddy Poppy® donations during Memorial Day week and Veteran’s Day and direct donations from the public.

Buddy Poppy® sales revenue goes to the Post Sick & Relief Fund solely for the support of local veteran’s of foreign wars in need.

Donations to the Post General Fund will help fund post activities including our annual Youth Essay competition, Memorial Day cemetery flag placements, the annual Pancake Breakfast, our website and our Zoom account.

Individual donations are welcome and can be designated to either the Post General Fund or the Sick and Relief Fund.

VFW Post 7186 is organized as a 501(c)(19) corporation in the State of Illinois. Donations are deductible as a charitable contribution.
